Do You Think That These Are The Best Solutions?

Tips To Help You Enjoy Your London Yoga Class

By Liliana Mills

So you have finally decided to go to a London yoga class. You recognised the health benefits and you have decided to be brave, put on your yoga pants and head off to a class with your friend. Yoga is fantastic but many people feel worried or nervous when attending the first class. Will you be made to stand at the front of the class? Will you fall over? Will people laugh at you because you cannot achieve the moves?

The first thing you need to do is appreciate that everyone feels the same way at the beginning. Your instructor will have introduced many people to yoga and they will help you to settle in and calm your nerves down. You can stand anywhere you like, you are not back in the school gym so put your fears aside.

Here are three tips that will help you to get the most out of your yoga class. So put on your stretchy clothes, grab your mat and fill up a bottle of water to take with you. Before you head out read these three tips and you will not only survive your calls, you will love it.

The first tip is to remember that yoga revolves around breathing, inhaling and exhaling air. You may breathe through your mouth but it is a good idea to practice breathing the right way. Inhale through your nose evenly. Breathing is part of the relaxation technique but it also ensures that oxygen is sent to the muscles you are using to achieve the different positions. Therefore focus on learning to breathe properly and picture where you need the oxygen to be sent. If you are stretching your back think about sending the oxygen to your spine.

Paying attention in class is a must. You do not have to stand at the front but do make sure you have a clear view of your instructor. Do not copy the people in front of you as they may not be replicating the move correctly. Your instructor will be properly trained and will show you how to do the moves in the right way. Remember you will not be able to copy the move perfectly, listen to what you are told and the instructor will remind you not to push yourself too far.

Making use of the mirrors in the room is another excellent tip. You will be able to observe your body and compare it to the position that you are being taught. Listen to your body. If a position hurts reduce the strain. Do not be harsh on your body and do only what is comfortable or slightly outside of your comfort level. Yoga can take years to master you will not be an expert in the first class.

Try and let your mind relax as much as possible, do not get angry with yourself and enjoy the buzz that you can achieve in the class. Follow the tips above and enjoy the experience. You will soon discover that everyone else is there to gain the benefits not to laugh at others.

These tips should have prepared you for your London yoga experience. After a few sessions you will notice the improvements and the anxiety about heading to class will have abandoned you.
